i grew up in an african american-caribbean household where natural remedies were a way of life. the comforting scent of frankincense and incense filled our home, and wellness was woven into our everyday routines. from herbal teas to nourishing oils and homemade treatments, i was always surrounded by generations of knowledge that honored the power of nature.

as i got older, i began struggling with acne and the emotional toll that came with it. like many others, i spent years searching for products that promised clear skin but often left my skin feeling irritated and unbalanced. it was a frustrating and discouraging experience.

everything changed when i realized that many of the ingredients i needed had been around me all along.

ingredients like honey, turmeric, aloe vera, oats, rosehip oil, and shea butter had always been trusted staples in my family and culture. once i began using these natural ingredients intentionally, my skin started to heal—and so did my confidence.
